Terms & Conditions

When these terms apply

Before I undertake a piece of work, I send a written quote outlining the cost and scope of the project. These terms apply from the point you accept this quote in writing.

I retain copyright on any materials I produce until the full project fee has been paid. Once I receive the fee, copyright passes to you. I reserve the right to publish or link the material on my website, portfolio and social media channels, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The scope of the project will be included in the quote. If you request any additional work after the project begins, I will quote for this work separately.

All my quotes include two rounds of review unless otherwise specified: the first for major changes or rewrites and the second for minor changes.

Quality and accuracy:

I aim to deliver high-quality, accurate work. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that published materials are accurate. I will not be liable for any inaccuracies in published materials.

Confidentiality and security:

I will not pass on confidential information that is shared with me unless required by law and I will do my best to keep any information that is shared with me safe. However, I will not be liable for any materials shared by mistake.

I will always do my best to complete the project by the agreed deadline. If I’m not able to do so because of circumstances beyond my control, I will give you as much warning as I am able to. I will not be liable for losses as a result of delays beyond my control.

Once the first draft is received, I will wait 2 weeks for any feedback or change requests. If I don’t hear from you within that time, I will invoice for the full project fee at that point. Further reviews after this time will be at my discretion.

If you need to cancel a project after work has started, I reserve the right to invoice for 50% of the project fee. If you cancel after I have submitted the first draft, or if you decide not to use the work, you will be liable for the full project fee.

Payment terms:

For new clients, I may require a 50% deposit or payment in full before beginning work.

For short-term projects, I will invoice for the full amount once I have sent the final draft (or 2 weeks after an earlier draft if you don’t request any changes).

For longer term projects, I will invoice monthly based on work done.

All payments are due in 14 days unless otherwise agreed. In line with UK government guidelines, I reserve the right to charge interest on late payments.
